Welcome to the last year of this textual/visual diary. Exploring words, spaces and aesthetics.

Kristine og Trond

Kristine og Trond

Apart from my bff's big fat Irish wedding, Kristine and Trond's wedding blew me out of the water. This here is another lucky hit, as I 'applied' for this job on Facebook. Yep, you better believe it. They actually didn't know an announcement was placed until they got  a swarm of PMs from photographers up to the job. And among them, an English speaking me.  With luck, K&T picked me, again even with little to show for. K is a Biology student and T a vintage car enthusiast and mechanic. They live on a farm with big ideas. Need I say more? The couple and I had a lot in common, easy going experimentalists looking for a cool gig. When they explained their wedding idea my light bulbs were going off like crazy and a cuppa later, their idea was my own. I felt thrilled for them, for the wedding, for myself. I was buzzing all week as it led up to the wedding. On the day Lene (my assistant photographer) and I even got lost. The rest of the day was magical. I felt like the insider only the bride and groom knew about.  Jukeboxes played music, vintage cars were parked around, there was plenty of sunshine, beakers held wine and test tubes reminded the guests where to sit. About 10 cakes followed after dinner. I could barely sleep that night -- maybe cause of the sugar rush or just all that buzz.
