"Write hard and clear, about what hurts"
- Ernest Hemingway
My poetry is very dear to me. My soft spot, my heart, my truth. It is the most vulnerable part of myself and in many ways it frightens me to display it to people, because it says
"this is my heart. It's bleeding."
My poems are mainly described by the Hemingway quote up top. The things that hurt. Sometimes it makes it hard for people close to me to read because then it's evidence.... the bruises. That is why I have written over 100 poems and safely hid them away from sight. But in a sense I take my hurts and try turn them into something honest and beautiful. I can't run from my feelings... or shy away from all my emotions.
We all have hearts. They're bleeding.
